MARITIME SERVICES ACT 1935—REGULATION

(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Maritime Services Act 1935, has been pleased to approve the Regulation made by the Maritime Services Board of New South Wales and set forth hereunder.

The Maritime Services Board of New South Wales, in pursuance of the

Maritime Services Act 1935, hereby makes the following Regulation:

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 September 1991.

Amendments

2. The Water Traffic Regulations—N.S.W. are amended:
(a) by inserting after Regulation 11 (3A) the following clause:

(3B) The Board may issue a personalised registration plate to a person at the person’s request and may charge an amount determined by the Board for doing so.

(b) by omitting from the Regulation specified in Column 1 of the

Schedule to this clause the matter specified opposite that Regulation in Column 2 of that Schedule and by inserting instead the matter specified opposite that Regulation in Column 3 of that Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Water Traffic Regulations—N.S.W.

so as:

(a) to increase the fee for the registration of a registrable vessel; and
(b) to increase the fee for a duplicate registration certificate or plate; and
(c) to fix a charge for the issue of a personalised registration plate; and

(d) to increase fees for licences to navigate at speed; and

(e) to reduce the fee to accompany an application for the recording of a change
