This regulation may be cited as the Marine Safety (Private Pleasure Vessels) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 November 1994. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Private Pleasure Vessels Regulation 1984 . ˙ Replacement of s 1 (Short title) 4. Section 1— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Short title ‘ 1. This regulation may be cited as the Marine Safety (Private Pleasure Vessels) Regulation 1984 .’. ˙ Insertion of new s 6A 5. After section 6— insert— ˙ ‘ Recreational fishing initiative annual levy payable on registration and renewal ‘ 6A.(1) The recreational fishing initiative annual levy must accompany an application for a certificate of registration or a certificate’s renewal (as well as the prescribed fee). ‘ (2) The levy is for the year covered by the certificate or renewal. ‘ (3) Despite sections 6(2) and 12(2), a certificate of registration or a certificate’s renewal must not be issued unless the levy has been paid.’.
