Marine Safety Amendment Regulations 2019

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Marine Safety Regulations 2012 as a consequence of the enactment of the Transport Legislation Amendment Act 2019.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 309 of the Marine Safety Act 2010.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2020.

4Definitions

In regulation 4 of the Marine Safety Regulations 2012[1], the definition of Roads Corporation is revoked.

5Tests of health and competence

In column 2 of the Table to regulation 42(1) of the Marine Safety Regulations 2012, for "officers of the Roads Corporation" substitute "persons employed under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004 in the Department of Transport".
