tu led " An Act to regulate insurance on ships belonging to the subjects of Or eat Britain and on merchandises or effects laden thereon" by section four whereof i t is prohibi ted to m a k e re- insurance except in t he cases t he re in ment ioned A n d whereas i t is expedient t o remove

such res t r ic t ion Be i t therefore enac ted by t h e Queen ' s Mos t
Exce l len t Majesty by a n d wi th t h e advice and consent of t he Legis­
lative Council and Legis la t ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r ­
l i ament assembled and by t h e au tho r i t y of t h e same as follows :—
1. N o t w i t h s t a n d i n g a n y t h i n g contained in t h e said A c t i t shall

be lawful t o m a k e re- insurance upon any ship or vessel or u p o n any goods merchandise or o ther p rope r ty on board of any ship or vessel or u p o n t h e freight of any ship or vessel or upon any other in te res t in or r e la t ing to any ship or vessel which m a y lawfully be insured .
