1998

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to make minor amendments to the offences prescribed by the Marine (Procedures) Regulations 1989.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 60 and

105 of the Marine Act 1988.

3. Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on

1 January 1999.

4. Amendment of certain offences

In regulation 301 of the Marine (Procedures)

Regulations 1989

(a)

in sub-regulation (1), for "Column 2" substitute "Column 3";

Marine (Procedures) (Amendment) Regulations 1998

(b)

in Column 2 of items 7, 9 and 11 of the "50 metres";

(c) in Column 2 of item 8 of the Table, for "90 metres" substitute "100 metres";
(d) for Column 2 of item 12 of the Table substitute—

"Exceeding 5 knots—

(a)

within 200 metres of the water's edge otherwise than in an access lane;

(b)

within 50 metres of a wharf or similar structure otherwise than in an access lane;

(c)

when passing through an anchorage for small craft—

in contravention of a notice".
