Marine Parks (Parliamentary Scrutiny) Amendment Act 2010

An Act to amend the Marine Parks Act 2007.

The Parliament of South Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1Preliminary1Short title

This Act may be cited as the Marine Parks (Parliamentary Scrutiny) Amendment Act 2010.

2Amendment provisions

In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.

Part 2Amendment of Marine Parks Act 2007

3Amendment of section 14 – Procedure for making or amending management plans

Section 14(9)—delete "12 sitting days after the declaration of an initial" and substitute:

Section 15—delete the section and substitute:

15—Parliamentary scrutiny

Sections 10 and 10A of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978 apply to an authorised management plan for a marine park (other than an initial management plan) as if it were a regulation within the meaning of that Act.
