Part 1 Marine Parks and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Marine Parks and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 March 2009. Part 2 Amendment of Marine Parks Regulation 2006 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the Marine Parks Regulation 2006. 4 Amendment of s 112 (Entry or use requiring notice) Section 112, note, item 2(c), ‘section 62’— omit, insert— ‘section 68’. 5 Amendment of s 140 (Restriction on bringing domestic animals into marine park) (1) Section 140(2)— omit, insert— ‘(2) A person must not bring a domestic animal onto tidal land that is— 2008 SL No. 344 Page 3

(2) Section 140(4), definition island national park— omit, insert— ‘ national park means a national park or national park (scientific) under the Nature Conservation Act 1992.’. 6 Amendment of sch 6 (Dictionary) Schedule 6, definition appealable decision— insert— ‘(d) a decision to refuse to grant an accreditation of a traditional use of marine resources agreement, or an educational or research institution, for the Moreton Bay Marine Park; (e) a decision to amend, suspend or cancel an accreditation of a traditional use of marine resources agreement, or an educational or research institution, for the Moreton Bay Marine Park.’.
