Marine (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to increase certain prescribed fees.

2. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 105,

108 and 109 of the Marine Act 1988.

3. Principal Regulations

In these Regulations the Marine (Fees)
Regulations 19881 are called the Principal

Regulations.

4. Fees payable for certificates of service

For the Table to regulation 200 of the Principal
Regulations substitute—

6. Fee payable for renewal of certificates

For regulation 301 of the Principal Regulations, substitute—

"301. Fee payable for renewal of certificates

The fee which must be paid to the Board for the renewal of a Certificate of Competency is $31.00.".

7.  Fee for certificate where examination not held at Board

In regulation 302 of the Principal Regulations, for

"$24.00" substitute "$25.00".

8. Fee for eyesight tests

In regulation 303 of the Principal Regulations, for

"$13.00" substitute "$13.50".

9. Maximum fee payable

In regulation 304 of the Principal Regulations for
"$110.00" substitute "$115.00".

10.  Fees payable for examinations for pilots licences

12. Inspection fees for hire and drive vessels

For the Table to regulation 600 of the Principal

Regulations substitute—

13.  Fees for surveys, examination of plans and adjustment of compasses

16. Boating facilities and safety education fee

For the Table to regulation 800(1) of the Principal

Regulations substitute—

"Table

1.    For a recreational vessel up to and

including 4·0 metres in length powered $28.00 per

17. Special identification mark and plate fees

For regulation 900 of the Principal Regulations substitute—

"900. Fees payable

(1) The fee which must be paid to the Board for

a special identification mark is $58.00 per

annum.

(2) The fee which must be paid to the Board for

a special identification plate is $12.50 per

annum.".

18. Transfer fee

In regulation 1000 of the Principal Regulations, for "$12.00" substitute "$12.50".

19. Assessor's fee

In regulation 1100 of the Principal Regulations, for "$122.00" substitute "$128.00".
