Marine (Drug, Alcohol and Pollution Control) Amendment Regulations 2025

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Marine (Drug, Alcohol and Pollution Control) Regulations 2022—

(a)to prescribe a preliminary breath test device; and

(b)to replace references to the Director with references to Safe Transport Victoria.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 105 of the Marine (Drug, Alcohol and Pollution Control) Act 1988.

3Prescribed breath test devices

In regulation 6 of the Marine (Drug, Alcohol and Pollution Control) Regulations 2022[1]—

(a)in paragraph (c), for "LE." substitute "LE; and";

(b)after paragraph (c) insert—

"(d)the Dräger Alcotest 7000, also known as the Draeger Alcotest 7000.".

4Regulation 27 amended

(1)In the heading to regulation 27 of the Marine (Drug, Alcohol and Pollution Control) Regulations 2022, for "Director" substitute "Safe Transport Victoria".

(2)In regulation 27 of the Marine (Drug, Alcohol and Pollution Control) Regulations 2022, for "the Director" substitute "Safe Transport Victoria".
