517 `IIIF' a lallt'( ANNO VICESIMO SEPTIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 66 of 1978 An Act to amend the Margarine Act 1958-1975 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 28TH NOVEMBER, 1978] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Margarine Act Amendment Act 1978. (2) The Margarine Act 1958-1975 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Margarine Act 1958-1978. 2. Amendment of s. 3. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting the meaning of the term " Minister " and substituting the following meaning:- The Minister for Primary Industries or other Minister of the Crown who at the material time is charged with the administration of this Act: the term includes a Minister of the Crown who is temporarily performing the duties of the Minister; "; (b) omitting the meaning of the term " Table margarine " and substituting the following meaning:- Margarine manufactured from fats or oils exclusively of vegetable origin; ";

518 Margarine Act Amendment Act 1978, No. 66 (c) omitting the meaning of the term " Under Secretary " and substituting the following meaning:- The Under Secretary of the Department of Primary Industries: the term includes the Deputy Director-General of that department and a person for the time being discharging the duties of either of those offices; ". 3. Amendment of s. 12 . Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (1), omitting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:- (a) is made up in quantities permitted by the regulations relating to the sale of prepacked articles made under the Weights and Measures Act 1951-1978; "; (b) in subsection (2), in paragraph (a), omitting from subparagraph (iii) the figure " 3 " and substituting the figure " 6 ". 4. Amendment of s. 13. Section 13 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (1), omitting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph:- (a) is made up in quantities permitted by the regulations relating to the sale of prepacked articles made under the Weights and Measures Act 1951-1978; ". 5. Amendment of s. 14 . Section 14 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (2), in paragraph (b), omitting from subparagraph (iii) the word " four " and substituting the word " two ". 6. Amendment of s. 15. Section 15 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in paragraph (b), omitting the words " or table margarine "; (b) adding at the end thereof the following paragraph:- (c) table margarine that 'contains fats or oils other than fats or oils exclusively of vegetable origin ".
