262 ANNA VICESIMO SECUN DO E LIZA ET AE SECUN D AE R EGINAE No. 28 of 19 73 An Act to amend The Margarine Act of 1958 in a certain particular and to provide for matter incidental thereto [ASSENTED TO 19TH APRIL, 1973] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Margarine Act Amendment Act 1973. (2) The Margarine Act of 1958 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Margarine Act 1958-1973.
Margarine Act Amendment Act 1973, No. 28 263 2. Amendment of s. 9. Section 9 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (1), omitting the words " four thousand two hundred and thirty-six tons " and inserting in their stead the expression " 5 333 tonnes ". 3. Power to alter license. Where prior to the passing of this Act there has been issued or renewed under the Principal Act a license wherein there is contained a condition specifying the maximum amount referred to in subsection (2) of section 9 of the Principal Act, which amount was calculated having regard to the provisions of subsection (1) of section 9 of the Principal Act as it existed prior to the passing of this Act, the Minister may alter each such license as to that condition having regard to the amendment made to subsection (1) of section 9 of the Principal Act by this Act, and the condition so altered shall be deemed to be applicable on and from the date of the alteration to the license in question.
