Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Maritime Services Act 1935.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to increase the penalty notice amount for failing to comply with a sign or notice that regulates the conduct of persons on or in areas controlled by NSW Maritime from $60 to $250.

This Regulation is made under the Maritime Services Act 1935, including sections 30D and 38 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Management of Waters and Waterside Lands
Amendment (Penalty Notice Offences) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Management of Waters and Waterside Lands Regulations—N.S.W.

The Fifth Schedule Penalty notice offences and penalties under these

Regulations

Omit “60” from Column 2 of the matter relating to Regulation 5.
Insert instead “250”.
