Major Sports Facilities Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2008 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Major Sports Facilities Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2008 . 2 Commencement (1) Section 4 commences on 2 December 2008. (2) Section 5 commences on 1 January 2009. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the MajorSportsFacilitiesRegulation 2002. 4 Amendment of s 2 (Declaration of major sports facility—Act, s 4) Section 2— insert— ‘(h) Queensland Tennis Centre, as described in schedule 1A.’. 5 Insertion of new sch 1A After schedule 1— insert — ‘Schedule 1A Queensland Tennis Centre section 2(h) Lot number 7 Type of plan and its number Survey Plan 195275 Approximate area 6.894ha’. Major Sports Facilities Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2008 [s 6] 6 Amendment of sch 2 (Conditions for special events at Suncorp Stadium) (1) Schedule 2, section 7(2) and (3)— renumber as section 7(4) and (5). (2) Schedule 2, section 7— insert— ‘(2) The operator must ensure the noise level from the event, including rehearsals and sound tests, is equal to or less than at least 1 of the following— (a) 100dB(A) Leq , measured at 15 minute intervals, measured at a point 50m directly in front of the front edge of the performance stage; (b) 70dB(A) Leq , measured at 15 minute intervals, measured at the locations mentioned in subsection (1). ‘(3) To remove any doubt, it is declared that the operator complies with subsection (2) even if the level measured is greater than 1 of the levels stated in the subsection.’. (3) Schedule 2, section 7— insert— ‘(6) In this section— Leq , for a particular time interval, means the time average A-weighted sound pressure level, within the meaning given by AS 1055, for the interval.’.
