Major Events (Townsville 400) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2015 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Major Events (Townsville 400) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2015 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the MajorEvents(Townsville400)Regulation 2015 . 3 Insertion of new pt 1, hdg Before section 1— insert — Part 1 Preliminary 4 Amendment of s 1 (Short title) Section 1, ‘(Townsville 400)’— omit, insert — (Motor Racing Events) 5 Replacement of s 2 (Definition) Section 2— omit, insert — 2 Definitions In this regulation— Gold Coast 600 means the major event prescribed under section 9. motor racing event means— (a) the Gold Coast 600; or (b) the Townsville 400. Major Events (Townsville 400) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2015 [s 9] insert — Part 3 Gold Coast 600 10A Gold Coast 600 is a major event For section 12(1) of the Act, the V8 Supercars motor racing event known as the Gold Coast 600 to be held in 2015 is a major event. 10B Major event organiser for Gold Coast 600 For section 12(2)(a) of the Act, V8 Supercars Australia Pty Ltd ACN 077 053 484 is the major event organiser for the Gold Coast 600. 10C Major event area for Gold Coast 600 For section 12(2)(b) of the Act, the following areas shown on the map in schedule 2 are the major event areas for the Gold Coast 600— (a) the areas surrounding McIntosh Island Park in Surfers Paradise; (b) the areas in the Southport Broadwater Parklands; (c) 3332 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise. 10D Major event period for Gold Coast 600 For section 12(2)(c) of the Act, the major event period for the Gold Coast 600 is the period between midday on 22 October 2015 and midday on 26 October 2015. 2015 SL No. 120 Page 5

Major Events (Townsville 400) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2015 [s 10] 10E Carrying out temporary works for Gold Coast 600 For section 16(2) of the Act, the following periods, dates inclusive, are prescribed— (a) between 14 September 2015 and midday on 22 October 2015; (b) between midday on 26 October 2015 and 13 November 2015. 10F Declaration of official title for Gold Coast 600 For section 51(1)(b) of the Act, the title ‘2015 Castrol Gold Coast 600’ is declared an official title for the Gold Coast 600. 10 Insertion of new pt 4, hdg Before section 10G— insert — Part 4 Provisions about motor racing events 11 Amendment of s 11 (Persons who may be appointed as authorised persons) Section 11, ‘the Townsville 400’— omit, insert — a motor racing event 12 Amendment of s 12 (Limitation on particular authorised person’s powers) Section 12(1), ‘the Townsville 400’— omit, insert — a motor racing event Page 6 2015 SL No. 120
