1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Major Events (Motor Racing Events) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2016 .

20   Assessing building work for special fire service

(1)This section applies to a building certifier engaged to assess building work for the purpose of giving a compliance certificate for section 78(3) of the Act.

(2)Before giving a compliance certificate for the building work, the building certifier must—

(a)consult the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service about special fire services for the building work; and

(b)if the building work is for a building or structure that is proposed to have a special fire service—obtain a report on the suitability of the proposed service from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service.
