An Act to enable the Commit tee of the Maitland Hospi ta l to apply certain moneys for the purpose of t he erect ion and furnishing' of a new hospital . [26th November, 1901.]

W H E R E A S it has been resolved by the commi t tee of t he Ma i t l and

Hosp i t a l t h a t it is desirable to erect and furnish a new hospital in p lace of the present one, and it is deemed necessary to obta in legislative au thor i ty to apply the funds of the hospi tal for t h a t purpose : Be it therefore; enacted by t h e K i n g ' s Most Exce l l en t Majes ty , by and wi th t he advice and consent of the Legislat ive Counci l and Legislat ive Assembly of New South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by the au tho r i t y of the same, as follows :—

1. This A c t may be cited as the " Mai t l and Hospi ta l Enab l ing
Act , 1 9 0 1 . "
2. The commit tee of the Mai t l and Hospi ta l m a y wi th the

consent of t he t rus tees of t h e said hospi tal or a major i ty thereof in thei r absolu te discretion, at any t ime , resort to any of t h e inves tments of t he hospi ta l ment ioned in section eighteen of the Pub l i c Hospitals Act , 189S, and sell the same for t he purpose of app ly ing and may apply the moneys to arise from any such sale, and any moneys in the i r hands or in t h e hands of the said t rus tees for t he purpose of t he erection and furn ish ing

of a new hospital in place of the present one : Provided t h a t the sums

so obtained and applied shall not exceed four thousand pounds .
