Maintenance Orders (Commonwealth Officers) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Maintenance Orders (Commonwealth Officers) Act 1966.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Maintenance Orders (Commonwealth Officers) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 5 (Modification of laws of a State or Territory)

2.1   Paragraph 5 (2) (b):

Omit the paragraph, substitute:

• “(b)

  moneys payable to a person under the Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986 or taken to be payable under that Act because of Division 2 of Part 3 of the Veterans’ Affairs (1994-95 Budget Measures) Legislation Amendment Act 1994.”.
