No. 8, moneys presently standing to the credit of such Fund or of moneys which otherwise would be payable during the financial year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, to the credit of such Fund, shall from time to time during such financial year be diverted from such Fund, and shall be transferred to the Consolidated Revenue: And whereas it is desirable that provision should be made that in any future financial year certain sums of money not exceeding in all in anyone future financial year Tw{) hundred and fifty thousand pounds, whether consisting of portion of the moneys standing to the credit of such Fund at the extension of this Act to any such future financial year, or of moneys which otherwise would be payable during any such future financial year to the credit of such Fund may from time to time during· any such future financial year be diverted and upon such diversion be transferred to the Consolidated Revenue: And whereas it is desirable also to divert during the said financial year ending on the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, to the Consolidated Revenue certain moneys standing to the credit as at the thirtieth day of June, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, of the Heavy Vehicles Road Fund constituted under *" The Heavy Vehicles Acts, 1925 to 1931 " : And whereas it is also desirable to make provision to divert during any future financial year to the Consolidated Revenue certain moneys which may be standing to the credit as at the thirtieth day of June of the financial year next preceding any such future financial year of the Heavy Vehicles Road Fund as aforesaid- Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : - Short title. 1. PART I.-PRELIMINARY; PART lI.-TRANSFER FROM MAIN ROADS FUND; PART lII.-TRANSFER FROM HEAVY VEHICLES ROAD FUND. PART lI.-TRANSFER FROM MAIN ROADS FUND. PART 1I.- TRANSFER FROM MAIN RoADS FUND. 3. This Part of this Act shall be read as one with Construction *" The Main Roads Fund Transfer Approval Act of 1932," of Part II. t" The Main Roads Fund Transfer Approval Act of 1933," and t" The Main Roads Fund Transfer Approval Act of 1934," and shall also be read as one with §" The Main Roads Acts, 1920 to 1934," herein referred to in this Part as the Principal Act. 4. And any such diversion, transfer, and payments during any future financial year to which this Part of this Act has been so extended are hereby approved, ratified, validated, and confirmed, and the Government of Queensland, and the Treasurer, and the Minister, and the Commissioner of Main Roads, and any officer of the Government are hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such diversion, transfer, and payment accordingly. Any Order in Council made or purporting to be made under this section shall be judicially noticed and shall upon publication in the Gazette be read as one with this Act and have the same force and effect as if it were enacted in this Act, and no such Order in Council shall be questioned in any proceedings whatever. The provisions of sections six and seven of this Act shall, mutatis mutandis, extend and apply in respect of any transfer, diversion, or payment made pursuant to this section. Repayment 6. The total amounts of all such diversions, of diversions. transfers, and payments from the Main Roads Fund to the Consolidated Revenue as provided in section four

Principal Act and after deducting the costs of adminis- tration of the said Principal Act and the cost of provision of such traffic facilities or traffic conveniences for the purposes of *" The State Transport Act of 1932" as may from time to time be approved by the Minister. And any such diversion, transfer, and payment are hereby approved, ratified, validated, and confirmed, and the Government of Queensland, and the Treasurer, and the Minister, and the Commissioner of Main Roads, and any officer of the Government are hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of such diversion, transfer, and payment accordingly. Approval, 10. Part of this Act is so extended to divert from moneys standing to the credit as at the thirtieth day of June of the financial year next preceding the future financial year to which this Part of this Act is so extended of the Heavy Vehicles Road Fund, and to transfer and pay to the Consolidated Revenue the balance then remaining in such Fund after deducting in respect of any such future financial year, and in a similar ratio as prescribed in section nine of this Part, the amount required for the purpose of the allocation to Local Authorities (including the Commissioner of Main Roads, who by virtue of section twenty-two of *" The State Transport Act of 1932" is deemed a Local Authority for the purposes of section seven of the Principal Act) pursuant to sub- section three of section seven of the Principal Act, and after deducting the costs of administration of the said Principal Act and the cost of provision of such traffic facilities or traffic conveniences for the purposes of *" The State Transport Act of 1932" as may from time to time be approved by the Minister. And any such diversion, transfer, and payment during any future financial year to which this Part of this Act has been so extended are hereby approved, * 23 Qeo. V. No. 24, 8upra, page 14406.

TRANSFER FROM HEAVY - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - VEHICLES ratified, validated, and confirmed, and the Government ROAD FUND. of Queensland, and the Treasurer, and the Minister, and the Commissioner of Main Roads, and any officer of the Government are hereby indemnified against all claims and liabilities in respect of any such diversion, transfer, and payment accordingly.
