MAIN ROADS (FINANCES ADJUSTMENT) ACT.

Act No. 32, 1949.

An Act to provide for the transfer on loan of the sum of five hundred thousand pounds from the County of Cumberland Main Roads Fund to the Country Main Roads Fund; for this purpose to amend the Main Roads Act, 1924- 1949 ; and for purposes connected therewith.. [Assented to, 11th November, 1949.]

t h e same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the " M a i n Roads (F inances Adjus tment ) Act, 1949."

2 . (1) Notwi ths tanding any th ing contained in t he Main Roads Act, 1924-1949, the Commissioner for Main Roads shall as soon as is pract icable after the commence­ ment of this Act, t r ans fe r the sum of five hundred thousand pounds from the County of Cumber land Main Roads F u n d to the credit of the Count ry Main Roads

F u n d as a t e m p o r a r y loan.

(2) The Commissioner for Main Roads shall repay the said sum of five hundred thousand pounds to t h e County of Cumberland Main Roads F u n d from moneys a t the credit of the Count ry Main Roads F u n d by ins ta l ­ ments of such amounts a t such t imes and on such conditions as the Minis ter approves .
