112 ANNO DUODECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 22 of 1963 An Act to Amend " 6 The Main Roads Acts, 1920 to 1962," in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 9TH DECEMBER, 1963] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Main Roads Acts Amendment Act of 1963." (2) Principal Act. " The Main Roads Acts,- 1920 to 1962," are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective title . The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Main Roads Acts, 1920 to 1963."
Main Roads Acts Amendment Act of 1963, No. 22 113 2. Amendment of s. 6 . Section six of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the brackets and numeral " (1) ". 3. Amendment of s. 29 . Section twenty-nine of the Principal Act is amended by adding the following paragraph:- (d) Towards the payment of the costs of traffic devices erected or installed in or on a declared road or, where a road other than a declared road intersects or joins a declared road, abutting such declared road but erected or installed in or on such other road." 4. Amendment of s. 33 (2). Subsection (2) of section thirty-three of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraph (c) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:- (c) The amount to be charged to any Local Authority on account of being benefited by the construction of permanent works on a developmental road shall not exceed one-tenth of the total cost of such permanent works;". 5. Amendment of s. 33A. Section 33A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (2).
