AN ACT to authorise the payment of certain moneys to the Consolidated Revenue Fund instead of to the Main Roads Contribution Trust Account and the payment of certain moneys to the Main Roads Contribution Trust Account from the Main Roads Trust Account.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council and the Legislative
Assembly of Western Australia, in this present
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of
the same, as follows:—
1. This Act may be cited as the Main Roads Act Shorttitle.
(Funds Appropriation) Act, 1950.
2. This Act shall be read in conjunction with ;geottit?nbe
the Main Roads Act (Funds Appropriation) Act, ,ov*iiurecttion
1947 (Act No. 19 of 1947), and words and expressions 90.719 or
used in this Act shall, unless inconsistent with the context, have the same meaning respectively as in that Act.

This Act shall operate and take effect and shall be deemed to have operated and to have had effect as from and including the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifty.
Payment
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary visions of the principal Act (namely, the Main Roads Act, 1930-1939), the Treasurer is hereby authorised to pay and shall pay into the Consoli- dated Revenue Fund instead of into the Main Roads Contribution Trust Account twenty-two and one- half per centum of the net balance referred to in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) of section thirteen of the Traffic Act, 1919-1949 up to a maximum amount of seventy thousand pounds, and the bal- ance, if any, of such percentage shall be paid as in the said section thirty-four mentioned.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section thirty-two or in any other pro- vision of the principal Act, as and when the Treasurer pays into the Consolidated Revenue Fund the moneys which he is authorised and required so to pay under section four of this Act, the Treasurer is hereby authorised to pay and without any war- rant of the Commissioner of Main Roads shall pay into the Main Roads Contribution Trust Account for the purposes of section thirty-four of the prin- cipal Act moneys of an amount equal to the amount of the moneys paid into the Consolidated Revenue Fund as aforesaid out of that portion of the moneys in the Main Road Trust Account which consists of moneys received from the Commonwealth of Aus- tralia for any of the purposes mentioned in the long title to the Commonwealth Act. |
This Act shall continue in operation for such period as shall be necessary to enable the payments authorised in sections four and five of this Act to be made in accordance with the authority conferred by the said sections but shall not in any event con- tinue in operation after the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one.
