444 Main Roads Act Amendment Act 1983, No. 38 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Main Roads Act Amendment Act 1983. (2) In this Act the Main Roads Act 1920-1979 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Main Roads Act 1920-1983. 2. Amendment of Schedule . Subject Matter for Regulations. The Schedule to the Principal Act is amended by inserting after clause 33 the following clause:-- " 33A. Exemption of livestock loadings . Providing for an exemption of vehicles of a description specified therein while carrying only livestock, generally or of a description specified therein, from all or any of the provisions of the regulations that regulate the weight of vehicles and loads and for the grant of such an exemption by the Commissioner in his discretion, either absolutely or subject to compliance with conditions whether prescribed by the regulations or specified by the Commissioner in the instrument of exemption.".
