Magistrates' Court Act 1989

Magistrates' Court (Criminal Procedure) (Prescribed Venue) Rules 2007

The Chief Magistrate together with 2 Deputy Chief Magistrates jointly make the following Rules:

1Object

The object of these Rules is to prescribe the Moorabbin Justice Centre as a venue of the Court for the purposes of section 82 of the Act.

2Authorising provisions

These Rules are made under section 16 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989 and all other enabling powers.

3Commencement

These Rules come into operation on 29 October 2007.

4Prescribed venues of the Court—section 82(2) of the Act

In Schedule 1 to the Magistrates' Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2006[1], after "Moonee Ponds" insert "Moorabbin Justice Centre situated at 1140 Nepean Hwy, Highett".
