Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) (Solicitors’ Costs) Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, LIONEL FROST BOWEN, the Attorney-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, hereby make the following Regulation under the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) Ordinance 1982.

After regulation 5 of the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) (Solicitors’ Costs) Regulations the following regulation is inserted:
Increase in costs
“6. (1) In these Regulations, a reference to—
(a)the costs ascertained in accordance with an item in a Schedule; or
(b)a scale of costs set out in a Schedule,
shall be read as a reference to those costs, or that scale of costs, respectively, increased by 2.9%.
“(2) Sub-regulation (1) applies only in relation to work done, or services performed, wholly on or after the commencement of this regulation.”.
