An Act to amend the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) Act 1982

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1994.

Principal Act

2.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) Act 1982.1

Insertion

3.  After section 10 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted in Part II:

Disputes under Tenancy Tribunal Act 1994

“10A.  The court has no jurisdiction in relation to a dispute to which the Tenancy Tribunal Act 1994 applies.”.
