The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1. Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to increase the allowances for costs which may be awarded in respect of an arbitration under Division 2 of Part 5 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.
2. Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 105(2) and 140 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1989.
3. Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on
1 January 2002.

4. Increase in professional costs
In item 1 of Schedule 3 to the Magistrates' Court
(Arbitration) Regulations 20001—
(a)
in paragraph (a) for "$841" substitute "$974"; and
(b)
in paragraph (b) for "$1010" substitute "$1050".
