An Act *further to amem! '' The Lztncbtics Act, 1864,"

[Assented to, 21th November, 1868.1

HEREAS it is expedient to amcnd " The Lunatics Act, 1964,"

by authorizing the Governor with the advice of the Execu-

tive Council, to appoint the Resident Medical Officer fbr the time

bcing of the Adelaide Lunatic Asylum, to act as the Resident Medical

Officer of such other Lunatic Asylums to be hereafter proclaimed under the provisions of the said Act as to the said Govcrnor with the advice aforesaid may seem expedient-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of

the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

1. This Act and the said " The Lunatics Act, 1864," shall be incorporated and read together as forming one Act.

2. Notwithstanding anything contained in the said

them, upon the Resident Medical Officer of any Aeylum duly pro-

claimed thereunder.
