LOTTERIES COMMISSION ACT 1990 LOTTO AMENDMENT RULES 1994

Made by the Commission under section 28.

Citation

1.      These rules may be cited as the Lotto Amendment Rules 1994.

Rule 15 amended

2. Rule 15 of the Lotto Rules 1990* is amended —

(a) in subrule (2) by deleting paragraph (a) and substituting the following —

(a) division 1 — 40% of the total prize pool together with any additional sum which forms part of the division 1 prize pool by virtue of rule 15 (3);

in rule 15 (2), whichever is the greater.

and

(b) after subrule (2) by inserting the following subrules

division 1 prize in a particular game, then the (3) Subject to rule 18, if no one is entitled to a

division 1 prize pool for that game shall be added to, and form a part of, the division 1 prize pool in the subsequent game.

(4)

The Commission may from time to time provide that a minimum total sum is available for distribution amongst winners in any specified division in any specified game under these rules.

(5)

In the event that the Commission does provide that a minimum total sum is available for distribution amongst winners in any specified division in any specified game, the amount to be distributed amongst winners in that division shall be either the minimum total sum provided, or the amount specified

(5) In the event that the Commission does provide that a minimum total sum is available for distribution amongst winners in any specified division in any specified game, this amount does not form a part of the prize pool for the purposes of rule 15 (3).
