2 Lotto Act Amendment Act 1984, No. 1 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Lotto Act Amendment Act 1984. (2) In this Act the Lotto Act1981 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the LottoAct1981-1984. 2. Repeal of and new s . 8. Prize money . The Principal Act is amended by repealing section 8 and substituting the following section:- " 8. Prize money . (1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), the amount allocated for distribution as prize money in respedt of each game of lotto conducted by the Office shall be 60 per centum of the total amount of subscriptions. (2) An amount calculated in accordance with rules made pursuant to section 16 may from time to time be set apart from the amount allocated for distribution as prize money pursuant to subsection (1). Any amount so set apart may be accumulated with any other amount so set apart. (3) Any amount accumulated pursuant to subsection (2), shall be distributed from time to time as additional prize money in respect of such games of lotto and in such amounts as are determined in accordance with rules made pursuant to section 16. (4) The Office may make rules pursuant to section 16 for the purpose of giving effect to the provisions of this section.".
