LOTTERIES (CONTROL).

No. 65 of 1966.

AN ACT to amend the Lotteries (Control) Act,

1954-1962.

[Assented to 12th December, 1966.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title

and citation. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Lotteries

(Control) Act Amendment Act, 1966.

(2) In this Act the Lotteries (Control) Act,

1954-1962, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Lotteries (Control) Act, 1954-

1966.

2. Section nine of the principal Act is amended— amended.

(a) by adding after subsection (1) subsections as follows

(la) During the year commencing on the first day of January nineteen hundred and sixty-seven the Commission shall, at such intervals as the Treasurer directs, pay into the special account kept at the Treasury pursuant to subsection (2) of section three of the Hospital Fund Act,

1930, ten per centum of all moneys

received by the Commission during that year in respect of lotteries conducted by it under this Act.

(lb) During the year commencing on the first day of January nineteen hundred and sixty-eight, the Commission shall, at such intervals as the Treasurer directs, pay into the special account referred to in subsection (la) of this section fifteen per centum of all moneys received by the Commission during that year in respect of lotteries conducted by it under this Act.

(lc) During the year commencing on the first day of January nineteen hundred and sixty-nine and during each year thereafter the Commission shall at such intervals as the Treasurer directs, pay into the special account referred to in subsection (la) of this section twenty per centum of all moneys received by the Commission during each of those years in respect of lotteries conducted by it under this Act. ;

(b) by adding after the word "moneys" in line three of subsection (2) the passage "and the moneys required to be paid into the special account under subsection (la), (lb) or (lc) of this subsection". .
