AN ACT to amend the Lotteries (Control) Act,

1932-1947.

[Assented to 21st January, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Lotteries (Control) Short title.

Act Amendment Act, 1948, and shall be read as one with

the Lotteries (Control) Act, 1932-1947 (Act No. 50 of 1932 as amended by Acts Nos. 39 of 1933, 33 of 1934, 24 of 1935, 35 of 1936, 53 of 1937, 46 of 1938, 18 of 1939, 31 of 1940, 30 of 1941, 27 of 1942, 15 of 1943, 38 of 1944, 44 of 1946 and 7 of 1947), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

The principal Aet as amended by this Act may be cited as the Lotteries (Control) Act, 1932-1948.

Amendment

3.

Section three paragraph (f) of the principal Act

is amended by substituting for the second proviso, the

following:

Provided that on and from the first day of Janu- ary, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, the aggregate fees payable to all the members in any one year, commencing on the first day of January, shall not exceed one thousand four hundred pounds, of which sum the chairman shall be entitled to receive a sum not exceeding eight hundred pounds, and the remaining three members, a sum not exceeding two hundred pounds each.
