Lotteries Commission (Super 66) Amendment
Rules 2008
Made by the Lotteries Commission under section 28(1) of the Act.
1. Citation
These rules are the Lotteries Commission (Super 66)
Amendment Rules 2008.
2. Commencement
These rules come into operation as follows:
(a) rules 1 and 2 — on the day on which these rules are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the rules — 8 June 2008.
3. The rules amended
The amendments in these rules are to the Lotteries Commission
(Super 66) Rules 1996.
4. Rule 3 amended
Rule 3 is amended as follows:
(a)
in the definition of “entry” by deleting “rule 5;” and inserting instead —
“
rule 5 or an entry as a result of redemption of a
promotional coupon;
”;

(b) in the definition of “receipted ticket” by deleting “an entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ a playslip, accepting a promotional coupon ”;
(c) by inserting in the appropriate alphabetical positions — “
“Oz lotto” has the same meaning as in the Oz Lotto
Rules;
“Oz Lotto Rules” means the Lotteries Commission
(Oz Lotto) Rules 1995;
“player’s card” and “player’s card number” have the meanings given in the Saturday Lotto Rules, the Monday and Wednesday Lotto Rules, the Oz Lotto Rules, the Powerball Rules or the Soccer
Pools Rules as is appropriate to the case;
“playslip” means an entry form for lotto, whether for a single game or multiple games and for all types of play;
“promotional coupon” means a coupon or an offerinitiated by the Commission that allows a
receipted ticket to be produced for a subscriberwithout full payment being required;

5. Rule 4 amended
Rule 4 is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “entry coupons” and inserting instead — “ a playslip ”;
(b) after “Wednesday lotto,” by inserting — “ Oz lotto, ”.
[Note: The heading to this rule will now read “Playslip”.]

6. Rule 5 amended
(1) Rule 5(2) is amended before “powerball” by inserting — “ Oz lotto, ”. (2) Rule 5(3) is amended by deleting “, 4, 8 or 10” and inserting
instead —“ or 5 ”. (3) Rule 5(3a) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “an entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ a playslip ”;
(b) by deleting “the entry coupon.” and inserting instead — “ the playslip. ”.
(4) Rule 5(4) is amended as follows:
(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting “an entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ a playslip ”;
(b) in paragraphs (a) and (b) after “Wednesday lotto,” by inserting — “ Oz lotto, ”.
(5) After rule 5(4) the following subrule is inserted — “
(4A) A person may enter super 66 by redeeming a
promotional coupon and, in that case, may be required
to pay less than the amount payable under subrule (4).
”.
7. Rule 6 amended
(1) Rule 6(1) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “an entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ a playslip ”;

(b) after “Saturday lotto,” by inserting — “ Monday lotto, Wednesday lotto, Oz lotto, ”.
(2) After rule 6(1) the following subrule is inserted — “
(1A) Where a person redeems a promotional coupon in
accordance with these rules and the terms on which the
promotional coupon is issued, the agent must generate
a receipted ticket or tickets accordingly and give it or
them to the subscriber.
”.
8. Rule 7 amended
(1) Rule 7(1) is amended by deleting “A” and inserting instead — “ Subject to subrule (1B), a ”. (2) After rule 7(1a) the following subrule is inserted — “
(1B)
The Commission may allow a subscriber to surrender a super 66 receipted ticket in circumstances outside those set out in subrule (1), but is under no obligation to do
so.
”.
9. Rule 8 amended
Rule 8 is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “an entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ a playslip, a promotional coupon ”;
(b) by deleting “the entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ the playslip, coupon ”.

10. Rule 9 amended
(1) Rule 9(1) is repealed and the following subrule is inserted
instead —“
(1) Subject to subrules (2) and (3), a receipted ticket is
generated by the Commission to indicate that the
details of a valid entry, or of a number of entries, as
appearing on the ticket, have been recorded in the
central gaming system records in relation to the
numbered super 66 draw or draws shown on the ticket.
”.
(2) Rule 9(2) is amended after paragraph (a) by inserting — “
or
(ab) is partially invalid because a “consecutive
weeks” option is not allowed for some of the
draws on the receipted ticket; or
”.
(3) Rule 9(2)(c) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “an entry coupon” and inserting instead — “ a playslip ”;
(b) after “Wednesday lotto,” by inserting — “ Oz lotto, ”;
(c) after “Wednesday Lotto Rules,” by inserting — “ Oz Lotto Rules, ”.
(4) After rule 9(2) the following subrule is inserted — “
(3) If the details appearing on the receipted ticket are
ambiguous, illegible or appear to be at odds with the
information in the central gaming system records, the
central gaming system records are taken to be the
correct details in relation to that receipted ticket.

11. Rule 17 amended
Rule 17(1) is amended by deleting “claims” and inserting
instead —“ wins ”.
12. Rule 18 amended
Rule 18(4)(a) is amended by deleting “claims” and inserting
instead —“ wins ”.
13. Rule 19 amended
Rule 19(2)(b) is amended before “by cheque” by inserting —
“ subject to rule 24A, ”.
14. Rule 20 amended
Rule 20(2)(b) is amended before “by cheque” by inserting —
“ subject to rule 24A, ”.
15. Rule 21 amended
(1) Rule 21(2)(a)(ii) is amended before “in cash” by inserting — “ subject to rule 24A, ”. (2) Rule 21(2)(b)(ii) is amended before “by cheque” by inserting — “ subject to rule 24A, ”. 16. Rule 22 amended
Rule 22(1) is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting “syndicate” and inserting instead — “ group ”;
(b) after “Wednesday Lotto Rules,” by inserting — “ Oz Lotto Rules ”.

17. Rule 24 amended
(1) Rule 24(1) is repealed. (2) Rule 24(2) is amended by deleting “PRS” and inserting
instead —“ player’s card ”. (3) Rule 24(3) is amended as follows:
(a) in paragraph (a) by deleting “PRS” and inserting instead — “ player’s card ”;
(b) after “will” by inserting — “ , subject to rule 24A, ”;
(c) by deleting “in the PRS.” and inserting instead — “ against that player’s card number. ”.
(4) Rule 24(4) is amended by deleting “PRS number, and
registration by a subscriber with the Player Registration
Service” and inserting instead —
“player’s card number, and possession by a subscriber
of a player’s card
”.
18. Rule 24A inserted
After rule 24 the following rule is inserted —
“
24A. Player’s card holders may request direct credit of
prizesThe holder of a player’s card may request that payment
of a prize be in the manner of a direct credit to a
subscriber’s nominated account at a particular financial
institution.
”.

19. Rule 25 amended
(1) Rule 25(1) is amended by deleting “entry coupon” and inserting
instead —“ playslip or promotional coupon ”. (2) Rule 25(2) is amended by deleting “an entry coupon” and
inserting instead —“ a playslip, promotional coupon ”. 20. Schedule 1 amended
Schedule 1 is amended in the item commencing “Games per
entry (may depend on the coupon used)” by deleting “1, 2, 4, 8
or 10” and inserting instead —“ 1, 2 or 5 ”.
