LOTTERIES COMMISSION

AMENDMENT ACT 1994

No. 74 of 1994

AN ACT to amend the Lotteries Commission Act 1990 and

for related purposes.

[Assented to 13 December 1994.1

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Lotteries Commission

Amendment Act 1994.

Commencement

2.    This Act comes into operation on the day on which it

receives the Royal Assent.

Principal Act

3. In this Act, the Lotteries Commission Act 1990* is referred to

as the principal Act.

Section 19 amended

4.     (1) Section 19 of the principal Act is amended by deleting

the definition of "Index" and substituting the following

definition —

a

"year" means a period of 12 months ending on

30 June.

(2) Any payment made under the principal Act before the commencement of this Act is declared to be and to have always been as valid as it would have been if it were made after the commencement of this Act.

Section 22 amended

5.     Section 22 of the principal Act is amended —

(a) in subsection (2) —

(i) by deleting "Subject to subsection (3), of " and

substituting the following

(ii) by inserting after paragraph (d) the following —

(b) by repealing subsection (3).
