LOTTERIES AND ART UNIONS ACT 1901—REGULATION

(Relating to the holding of sweeps and calcuttas in connection with certain

sporting events)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Lotteries and Art Unions Act 1901, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 are amended:

(a)

by inserting at the end of Regulation 10 (e) the following word and paragraphs:

; and

(f)

each snooker event named in Column 1 of Part 6 of the Table to this clause and conducted by the organisation named in Column 2 of that Part opposite the name of that event; and

(g)

each other event named in Column 1 of Part 7 of the Table to this clause and conducted by the organisation named in Column 2 of that Part opposite the name of that event,

(b)

by inserting in Column 1 and Column 2, respectively, of Part 1 of the Table to Regulation 10 the following items (to be inserted in alphabetical order according to the name of the event):

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 so as to prescribe further events in respect of which both sweeps and calcuttas may be conducted.
