LOTTERIES AND ART UNIONS ACT 1901—REGULATION

(Relating to the holding of sweeps and calcuttas in connection with certain

sporting events)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Lotteries and Art Unions Act 1901, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 are amended:

(a)

by omitting from Regulation 10 (b) and (c) the word “clause” wherever occurring and by inserting instead the word “Regulation”;

(b)

by omitting from Regulation 10 (c) the matter “or 3” and by inserting instead the matter “, 3 or 4”;

(c)

by inserting in Columns 1 and 2 of Part 1 of the Table to Regulation 10, in alphabetical order, the following matter:

Race Race Committee Inc.

(d)

by inserting after Part 3 of the Table to Regulation 10 the following Part:

Part 4—Foot racing events

The Diet Coke Mile—Elite Men’s Race
The Diet Coke Mile—Elite Women’s Race
The Diet Coke Mile—Sporting Celebrities’ Race

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 so as to permit the holding of sweeps and calcuttas in connection

with certain additional sporting events.
