LOTTERIES AND ART UNIONS ACT 1901—REGULATION

(Relating to the holding of sweeps and calcuttas in connection with certain

sporting events)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Lotteries and Art Unions Act 1901, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 are amended:

(a)

by inserting at the end of Regulation 10 (c) the following word and paragraph:

; and

(d)

each greyhound-racing event named in Column 1 of Part 4 of the Table to this clause and conducted by the organisation named in Column 2 of that Part opposite the name of that event,

(b)

by inserting after Part 3 of the Table to Regulation 10 the following Part:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 so as to permit the holding of sweeps and calcuttas in connection with a greyhound race called the “Tooheys Maiden” conducted by the Dapto Agricultural and Horticultural Greyhound Racing Club.
