EXPLANATORY NOTE
The Lotteries and Games of Chance Regulations 1966 may prescribe events in respect of which sweeps or calcuttas (or both sweeps and calcuttas) may be conducted. The object of clause 1 of this Regulation is to prescribe certain foot racing events as events in respect of which both sweeps and calcuttas may be conducted.
Two amendments were recently made to Regulation 10 of the Regulations. The first appeared in Gazette No. 134 of 27 September 1991 on p. 8343 and the second appeared in Gazette No. 139 of 4 October 1991 on p. 8523. The second amendment added a new Part 4 to the Table to Regulation 10 although a Part 4 had already been added by the first amendment.
The object of clause 2 of this Regulation is to correct the error. The clause is for the purpose of law revision only and does not change the substance of Regulation 10 in any way.
