s1 2 s4 Lotteries Amendment Rule (No. 2) 2005 No. 251, 2005 1 Short title This rule may be cited as the Lotteries Amendment Rule (No. 2) 2005 . 2 Commencement This rule commences on 12 October 2005. 3 Rule amended This rule amends the Lotteries Rule 1998. 4 Amendment of sch 6 (Oz lotto) (1) Schedule 6, section 7, ‘6 numbers’— omit, insert— ‘7 numbers’. (2) Schedule 6, section 8(1)(a), ‘7’— omit, insert— ‘8’. (3) Schedule 6, section 8(2) and (3), ‘6 numbers’— omit, insert— ‘7 numbers’. (4) Schedule 6, section 8(3), example, ‘28’— omit, insert— ‘8’. (5) Schedule 6, section 9(1)(a) and (2), ‘4 or 5’— omit, insert— ‘5 or 6’. (6) Schedule 6, section 9(1)(b), ‘with-the-field ‘4’ or ‘5’ square’— omit, insert— ‘with-the-field ‘5’ or ‘6’ square’.

(8) Schedule 6, section 9(3), example— omit, insert— ‘ Example — If a person selects 5 numbers for a with-the-field entry, the person has the equivalent of 780 standard entries.’. (9) Schedule 6, section 12(7), ‘system 7’— omit, insert— ‘system 8’. (10) Schedule 6, section 14(1), ‘8’— omit, insert— ‘9’. (11) Schedule 6, section 14(1)(a), ‘6’— omit, insert— ‘7’. (14) Schedule 6, section 16, example— omit, insert— ‘ Example — If a person has the 7 winning numbers for division 1, the person has not won division 3 merely because 6 winning numbers needed for a division 3 prize are included in the 7 winning numbers for division 1.’. (15) Schedule 6, section 18(1)— omit, insert— ‘(1) The net prize pool for a drawing of oz lotto must be distributed as follows— • division 1—40% • division 2—1.7% • division 3—3.5% • division 4—1.8% • division 5—2.1% • division 6—24% • division 7—26.9%.’.
