LORD HOWE ISLAND ACT 1953—REGULATION

(Relating to the charge levied on tourists visiting Lord Howe Island)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Lord Howe Island Act 1953, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 21 October 1994.

Amendment

2. The Lord Howe Island (General) Regulation 1994 is amended by

omitting from clause 60 (1) the matter “$10” and by inserting instead the

matter “$20”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of th is Regulation is to increase from $10 to $20 the charge levied on

tourists visiting Lord Howe Island.

This Regulation is made under the Lord Howe Island Act 1953, including section 38

(the general regulation-making power, in particular, section 38 (3)).
