Long Service Leave (State Employees) Amendment Regulations 2003

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Long Service Leave (State Employees) Act 1994 .20 March 2003

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Long Service Leave (State Employees) Amendment Regulations 2003 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Long Service Leave (State Employees) Regulations 1994 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 5 substituted Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted: 5Holidays For the purposes of sections 11(2)(e) and 13(1)(b) of the Act – (a) a day that is a statutory holiday within the meaning of the Statutory Holidays Act 2000 is prescribed as a holiday for the whole State; and (b) a day that is a statutory holiday for an area of the State specified in column 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Statutory Holidays Act 2000 is prescribed as a holiday for that area.
