DETERMINATION OF LOGBOOKS AND RETURNS

LOGBOOK DETERMINATION (SOUTHERN AND EASTERN SCALEFISH AND SHARK FISHERY) 2011

I, JAMES FINDLAY, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, as its delegate pursuant to delegation numbered 30 of 2008 dated 1^st July 2008 from the Commission, make the following Determination under section 42(1) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

Citation

1.This Determination may be cited as Logbook Determination (Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery) 2011

Commencement

2.This Determination commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

Period of Application

3.This Determination expires on 31^st December 2015 and unless further re-determined prior to that date any logbook herein, must not thereafter be used.

Interpretation

4.Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this Determination.

5.Holders of fishing concessions granted for the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery must keep and maintain the following logbooks, containing information in respect of their activities in accordance with the instructions in that logbook:

(a)     For concessions authorising the use of trap fishing methods:

Trap Fishing Daily Fishing Log TR01; and

Commonwealth Catch Disposal Document SESS2A

(b)     For concessions authorising the use of gillnet fishing methods:

GILLNET Fishing Daily Log NT01A; and

Commonwealth Catch Disposal Document SESS2A

(c)     For concessions authorising the use of line fishing methods:

Line Fishing Daily Fishing Log LN01A and

Commonwealth Catch Disposal Document SESS2A

(d)     For concessions authorising the use of trawl fishing methods in the area of  the Commonwealth South East Trawl Sector, East Coast Deepwater Trawl Sector and Victorian Coastal Waters Sector:

Eastern Finfish Trawl Daily Fishing Log EFT01B; and

Commonwealth Catch Disposal Document SESS2A.

(e)     For concessions authorising the use of trawl fishing methods in the area of Commonwealth GAB Trawl Sector

Southern and Western Finfish Trawl Daily Fishing Log SWT01A; and

Great Australian Bight Trawl Fishery Catch Disposal Record GAB2C

(f)     For all concession holders transporting fish in greater than one consignment to be received by a person granted a Commonwealth Fish Receiver Permit:
