Act No. 49, 1984.

An Act to amend Part XXIIc of the Local Government Act, 1919, in

consequence of the enactment of the Tourism Commission Act, 1984.

Local Government (Tourism Commission) Amendment.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the "Local Government (Tourism

Commission) Amendment Act, 1984".

Commencement.

2. (1) Sections 1 and 2 shall commence on the date of assent to this

Act.

(2) Except as provided by subsection (\), this Act shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Tourism Commission Act, 1984.

Amendment of Act No. 41, 1919.

  1. The Local Government Act, 1919, is amended by omiting section 475Q

(1) (c) and by inserting instead the following paragraph:—

(c) enter into—

(i)  an agreement for the repayment by the council to the Tourism Commission of part of any money paid by that Commission under any guarantee executed by that Commission under section 9 of the Tourism Commission Act, 1984; or

(ii) an agreement referred to in section 12 of the Tourism Commission Act, 1984, or section 3B of the Government Guarantees Act, 1934,

and do all things required for or incidental to the carrying out of

the agreement;
