Local Government (Savings and Transitional) Amendment Act 1998

An Act to amend the Local Government (Savings and Transitional) Act 1993

[Royal Assent 18 December 1998]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Local Government (Savings and Transitional) Amendment Act 1998 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Local Government (Savings and Transitional) Act 1993 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 21 amended (Regulations and by-laws) Section 21 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection: (2)  Any by-laws made under a repealed Act and in force immediately before the commencement of the Local Government (Savings and Transitional) Amendment Act 1998 remain in force until 31 March 1999 unless sooner repealed.
