Act No. 5, 1987

An Act to amend the Local Government Act 1919 consequent on the

enactment of the Registered Clubs (Entertainment) Amendment Act 1987.

Local Government (Registered Clubs) Amendment 1987

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Short title

1.     This Act may be cited as the "Local Government (Registered Clubs)

Amendment Act 1987".

Commencement

2. (1) Sections 1 and 2 shall commence on the date of assent to this

Act.

(2) Except as provided by subsection (1), this Act shall commence on the day on which Schedule 1 (6) to the Registered Clubs (Entertainment) Amendment Act 1987 commences.

Amendment of Act No. 41, 1919

3. The Local Government Act 1919 is amended by inserting after

section 317JB the following section:

Premises licensed under the Liquor Act 1982 or registered under the

Registered Clubs Act 1976

317JC. If a council makes an order under section 3 1 7 D in

relation to premises licensed under the Liquor Act 1982 or the premises of a registered club within the meaning of the Registered Clubs Act 1976, this Division (sections 317JA and 317JB excepted) applies to and in respect of the order as if the references in sections 317c, 31 7F and 317G to the Land and Environment Court or the Court were references to the Liquor Administration Board within the

meaning of the Liquor Act 1982.
