Local Government (Operations) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government (Operations) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the LocalGovernment(Operations)Regulation 2010. 3 Insertion of new ch 7 After section 131— insert— ‘Chapter 7 Transitional provision for the Local Government (Operations) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 ‘132 Local government changes for quadrennial elections 2012 ‘(1) This section applies to the following local government changes made under the Local Government (Operations) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 — (a) a change to the divisions of the following local government areas— (i) Fraser Coast Regional Council; (ii) Gympie Regional Council; (iii) Townsville City Council; (b) a change of the total number of councillors for the Townsville City Council. ‘(2) Until the conclusion of the quadrennial elections for 2012 under the Local Government Electoral Act 2011 — Page 2 2011 SL No. 215

Local Government (Operations) Amendment Regulation (No. 6) 2011 [s 4] (a) the undivided divisions under the unamended provision continue to apply; and (b) the total number of councillors stated in the unamended provision continue to apply; and (c) for a change mentioned in subsection (1)(b), councillor numbers will not be reduced. ‘(3) In this section— unamended provision means schedule 1 of the LocalGovernment(Operations)Regulation2010 as in force immediately before the commencement of this section.’. 4 Amendment of sch 1 (Prescribed information about local governments) (1) Schedule 1, entry for Fraser Coast, column 4, ‘area not divided’— omit, insert — ‘division 1—1  division 2—1  division 3—1  division 4—1  division 5—1  division 6—1  division 7—1  division 8—1  division 9—1  division 10—1’. (2) Schedule 1, entry for Gympie, column 4, ‘area not divided’— omit, insert — ‘division 1—1  division 2—1  division 3—1  division 4—1  division 5—1  division 6—1  division 7—1  division 8—1’.
