(1)This section applies to facilitate the implementation, under this regulation, of the change of the classification of the Moreton Bay local government area from a region to a city.

(2)A reference in an Act or document to Moreton Bay Regional Council or the Council of the Region of Moreton Bay may, if the context permits, be taken to be a reference to Moreton Bay City Council or the Council of the City of Moreton Bay.
