Act N o . 3 6 , 1978 .

An Act to amend the Local Government Act, 1919, consequentially upon the enactment of the Meat Industry Act, 1978. [Assented to, 28th March, 1978.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Local Government

(Meat Industry) Amendment Act, 1978".

2 .       (1 ) Except as provided in subsection ( 2 ) , this Act

shall commence upon the date of assent to this Act.

(2 ) Section 3 shall commence upon the day appointed

and notified under section 2 (2) of the "Meat Industry Act,
1978".

3 .      The Local Government Act, 1919, is amended—

(a)	by inserting in section 10 (1) after the matter "the Liquor Act, 1912;" the matter "the Meat Industry Act, 1978;";
(b)	by inserting after section 654 (5) (s) the following paragraph :—

(t) the New South Wales Meat Industry Authority.
