2. In these regulations the Local Government (Long Service Leave)

Regulation 6 amended

3.     Regulation 6 (2) of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

"regulatlon 6A" and substituting the following —

Regulation 6B inserted

4.      After section 6A of the principal regulations the following regulation is

inserted —

Leave on double pay

6B. Where a worker commences a period of long service leave the worker may, if the worker and his or her employer so agree in writing, be paid for each week of that period at double the rate at which he or she would otherwise be entitled under regulation 8 to be paid, but double any period of leave in respect of which the worker is so paid shall be taken into account for the purpose of ascertaining the amount of leave, if any, to which the worker is thereafter entitled and for the purposes of applying the formula in regulation 9 (3).
