Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2009 Part 1 Preliminary [s 1] Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2009 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 16 October 2009. Part 2 Amendment of Local Government (Areas) Regulation 2008 3 Regulation amended This part amends the LocalGovernment(Areas)Regulation 2008. 4 Amendment of sch 1 (Information about local governments) (1) Schedule 1, entry for Scenic Rim, column 3, ‘LGRB 7 edition 3’— omit, insert— ‘LGRB 7 edition 4’. (2) Schedule 1, entry for Southern Downs, column 3, ‘LGRB 62’— omit, insert— ‘LGRB 62 edition 2’. Page 2 2009 SL No. 221

LGRB 7 edition 4 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the region of Scenic Rim with— (a) the Southern Downs/Scenic Rim relevant area excluded; and (b) the Scenic Rim/Southern Downs relevant area included. ‘(2) Map no. LGRB 62 edition 2 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the region of Southern Downs with— (a) the Scenic Rim/Southern Downs relevant area excluded; and (b) the Southern Downs/Scenic Rim relevant area included.’. 9 Amendment of schedule (Dictionary) (1) Schedule— insert — ‘ Scenic Rim/Southern Downs relevant area means the part of lot 49 on plan ML212 identified in attachment B of the Scenic Rim/Southern Downs report as part of the local government area of the region of Southern Downs. Scenic Rim/Southern Downs report means the report of August 2009 called ‘Local Government Electoral and Boundaries Review Commission—Report on a change to the external boundaries of the Scenic Rim Regional Council and Southern Downs Regional Council’. Southern Downs/Scenic Rim relevant area means the part of lot 19 on plan ML212 identified in attachment B of the Scenic Rim/Southern Downs report as part of the local government area of the region of Scenic Rim.’.
