s1 3 s4 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 291, 2005 (No. 2) 2005 Part 1 Preliminary 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation (No. 2) 2005 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 1 January 2006. Part 2 Amendment of Local Government (Areas) Regulation 2005 3 Regulation amended in pt 2 This part amends the LocalGovernment(Areas)Regulation2005. 4 Amendment of sch 1 (Information about local governments) (1) Schedule 1, entry for Blackall, column 3, ‘edition 1’— omit, insert— ‘edition 2’. (2) Schedule 1, entry for Caloundra, column 3, ‘edition 4’— omit, insert— ‘edition 5’. (3) Schedule 1, entry for Maroochy, column 3, ‘edition 9’— omit, insert— ‘edition 10’.

Part 3 Amendment of Local Government (Limited Reviewable Local Government Matters) Regulation 2002 5 Regulation amended in pt 3 This part amends the Local Government (Limited ReviewableLocal Government Matters) Regulation 2002. 6 Amendment of s 3 (Receiving local government) Section 3— insert — ‘(n) for the Blackall/Quilpie relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Blackall; or (o) for the Caloundra/Maroochy relevant area—the Council of the City of Caloundra.’. 7 Amendment of s 4 (Transferring local government) Section 4— insert — ‘(n) for the Blackall/Quilpie relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Quilpie; or (o) for the Caloundra/Maroochy relevant area—the Council of the Shire of Maroochy.’.

s8 5 s9 Local Government Legislation Amendment Regulation No. 291, 2005 (No. 2) 2005 8 Insertion of new ss 6H and 6I Part 2— insert — ‘6H New external boundaries for the 1 January 2006 transfer day—Blackall and Quilpie local governments ‘(1) Map no. LGB82 edition 2 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Quilpie with the Blackall/Quilpie relevant area excluded. ‘(2) Map no. LGB100 edition 2 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Blackall with the Blackall/Quilpie relevant area included. ‘6I New external boundaries for the1 January 2006 transfer day—Caloundra and Maroochy local governments ‘(1) Map no. LGB82 edition 10 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the Shire of Maroochy with the Caloundra/Maroochy relevant area excluded. ‘(2) Map no. LGB100 edition 5 shows the external boundaries of the local government area of the City of Caloundra with the Caloundra/Maroochy relevant area included.’. 9 Amendment of schedule (Dictionary) (1) Schedule— insert — ‘ Blackall/Quilpie relevant area means lot 4 on plan GN2 identified in attachment B of the Blackall/Quilpie report as part of the local government area of the Shire of Quilpie. Blackall/ Quilpie report means the report of September 2005 called ‘Local Government Electoral & Boundaries Review Commission—Report on changes to the external boundaries of the shires of Blackall and Quilpie’. Caloundra/Maroochy relevant area means the part of lot 1 on CP849828 identified in attachment B of the

Caloundra/Maroochy report means the report of September 2005 called ‘Local Government Electoral & Boundaries Review Commission—Report on changes to the external boundaries of Caloundra City and Maroochy Shire’.’. (2) Schedule, definition relevant area — insert — ‘(n) the Blackall/Quilpie relevant area; (o) the Caloundra/Maroochy relevant area.’. (3) Schedule, definition transfer day — insert — ‘(h) for the Blackall/Quilpie and Caloundra/Maroochy relevant areas—1 January 2006.’. Part 4 Amendment of Local Government Regulation 2005 10 Regulation amended in pt 4 This part amends the Local Government Regulation 2005. 11 Amendment of s 59 (Local government’s activities to implement EEO management plan) Section 59, ‘section 534(i)’— omit, insert— ‘section 534(1)(i)’. 12 Amendment of sch 7 (Dictionary) Schedule 7, definition relevant employee , ‘schedule 4’—
